It has often been said, “Little children, little problems, big children, big problems.” How true! Although little children can be exhausting, parents have a great deal of control over their safety and well-being. When children become adults, parents have to let go of that control.
A parent’s job often becomes more difficult, as their adult children face major decisions – what work to pursue, to marry or not, who to marry, how to raise their own children, whether to continue to practice the faith in which they were raised.
The book Praying for Our Adult Sons and Daughters, written by local authors John and Therese Boucher, will be the inspiration for a new group that we will soon be starting at St. Peter’s. Together we will share conversation and prayer for our adult sons and daughters.
If you are interested in joining us, please sign up on the sheet at the back of the church or contact the parish office and we will be in touch with you.
We look forward to this opportunity to join together in prayer to place our sons and daughters in the heart of God.
